Milijana, after such an impressive season with Mašinac, many people consider you one of the most exciting wingers in the Serbian league. What made this season so special for you personally?
This season was special because it was the result of hard work, belief in myself, and the incredible support of my family. Every match became an opportunity for me to improve, learn something new, and contribute even more to the team. I feel that this year I managed to show my full potential much more consistently.
The recognition and positive feedback I’m receiving now are a huge motivation for me. They push me to continue working even harder and to keep developing both as a footballer and as a person.
You are known as one of the fastest players in the league, reaching 31 km/h in matches. How important is speed in your style of play?
Speed is definitely one of my biggest strengths and one of the main weapons in my game. I always try to use it intelligently, not only in pure sprint situations, but also to create space, attack behind defensive lines, and open opportunities for my teammates.
When I recognize the right moment for a run or a counterattack, my speed allows me to make the difference very quickly. Modern football is becoming faster every year, and I believe this quality gives me an important advantage.
Mašinac is the most decorated women’s football club in Serbia. What does it mean to you to be one of the team’s key players?
For me, it is both a huge honor and a big responsibility. Mašinac is a club with a rich tradition and a winning mentality, and when you wear this jersey, you understand that expectations are always high.
That motivates me even more to give my maximum in every training session and every match. I believe that this mentality helped me achieve strong performances this season and grow into a more complete player.
Last season in Montenegro with Breznica, you recorded incredible numbers — 21 goals and 14 assists. How did that experience shape you?
Going to Breznica was one of the best decisions I could have made at that stage of my career. Every goal and assist increased my confidence and confirmed that hard work and dedication always bring results.
Living and playing in a new environment also helped me mature as a person. I became more independent and more aware of how important discipline, patience, and consistency are if you want to succeed in professional football.
